Madison (Madi) Sumpter is a birth and postpartum doula who served the CSRA, Fort Eisenhower and surrounding areas. Madi is a mother to four children, two of her births were with a doula, and during those experiences she found her passion and love to help mothers during such special and beautiful moments. These experiences led Madi to the doula world, as she is the founder of Joyful Hearts & Hands Birth Services.
Madi has worked with, and in, the doula community for over four years. While serving in the military, she started her doula education and birthed her last two babies. This unique experience makes Madi well versed in military maternity, postpartum, and lactation programs and policies. She has also served with her local church (Quest) in the nursery, and the Generation Kids program for over four years. Madi is Gilligan’s Guide certified, DONA birth and postpartum trained; she is pursuing DONA certification, and Tricare coverage. Madi plans to expand her education and certifications to include CLC, then IBCLC, pediatric sleep counselor, and bereavement doula.
